The following tables have been designed to help you calculate how much TV you watch in a week. You could print out a blank copy of the tables to fill them in over a week.

Table 1: Total hours of TV watched

Enter the number of hours that you watch TV in the morning, afternoon and evening for each day.

When you have finished, click on the button and the computer will automatically calculate how much TV you watch in a week...

Table 2: Popularity of Types of TV Programme

To fill in the table below, you need to calculate how many hours each day you spend watching the following types of television programme:

Soaps	This category contains soap operas, for example: Coronation Street, Home and Away, All My Children, The Bill
Sitcoms	This category contains situation comedies, for example: Friends, Some mothers Do 'Ave 'Em, Men Behaving Badly,
News	This category includes news, current affairs and documentary programmes, for example: Panorama, Crimewatch
Chat	This category includes chat shows, quizzes and panel games, for example: Blankety Blank, Mastermind, Supermarket Sweep

Click on the button when you have entered the number of hours you spend each day watching each type of programme.

Other Activities

Now that you have calculated how much time you spend watching TV, you can enter your data into a database to compare your results with other people.

Or, you can draw a bar chart to show what types of TV programme you prefer to watch.
